The Go Daddy Christmas Party

On Saturday we went to Jason's work Christmas party. The party was a formalish affair, and because Jason and I never dress up we had to take a picture.

The Christmas party took place at Chase Field. When we got there they gave Jason and I each a gift. If you are an employee you got a key chain with a Go Daddy key. The guests got a key chain.

As we walked in we were overwhelmed by the size of the party. There were over 4 thousand people there as well as several buffets set up, arcade games, and a huge stage and dance floor. We found a seat with many of Jason's work friends and settled in. I met several very nice people. Now I have some faces to go with the phone calls that Jason gets. Bob Parsons gave away around 400,000 dollars (possibly more) worth of prizes.

He gave it away in 1 thousand dollar, 2,500 dollar, 5,000 dollar, and 10,000 increments. Many people speculated that the key was a house key, possibly someone would be winning mortgage for a year or a house? Danica Patrick and Candace Michelle helped Bob Parsons draw names out of the bag for prizes.

The comedian who performed at the party was Sinbad, who was surprisingly funny.

They also had 2 bands play: 38 Special, and Joan Jett. The night ended with a laser show and fireworks (even with the roof closed). And more prizes given away. It was later said that Bob Parsons forgot that he was going to call someone's key number to win some motorcycles that were there, but he accidentally drew names for people to win them instead.

Jason was one of the very few people who didn't win anything. Oh well, maybe next year.
