On January 11, 2011, we celebrated Kaden’s first birthday. Jason and I both took the day off to go to the zoo for this special day. First, we saw the giraffes.
Then we went over to the lion cages. At first Kaden was more interested in the waterfall that was in the cage, but we knew he saw the lion when he said ‘meow’.
Kaden also saw monkeys, ducks, elephants, and peacocks.
We visited the petting zoo where Kaden had a favorite goat. There were over a dozen goats there, but Kaden kept going back to this one.
After the zoo, we went home to get some rest before the night-time festivities. That evening we went to Kaden’s grandma and grandpa Olsen’s house. Grandma and Grandpa Hannig, Aunt Casey, Aunt Loren, Great grandmas Miessen and Taurisano, and Aunt Debbie and Roxanne were also there. Aunt Loren made a fabulous cake, which you can see Kaden really enjoyed.
